ABOUT US
Formed in 2004 by a small group of American and British shooting enthusiasts and professionals, we are an organisation dedicated to good fellowship, good food & drink, good guns and good shooting.
A mere handful of new members are inducted each autumn into the Anglo American Shooting Society, ensuring them access to our events in perpetuity. Guests are welcome also, and we specialise in ushering newcomers into the world of driven shooting.
The essence of our society is to mix the best of sport and camaraderie, backed up with reliable organisation, comfortable accommodations and—from arrival in the UK to departure—great attention to detail.
We have our old favourite shoots, but we also delight in finding new ones, from the moors of Yorkshire to the chocolate-box estates of the Cotswolds and the rolling hills of the West Country. Evenings are also an important part of shooting—whether we gather at a long-familiar pub, restaurant or hotel or sample something new, our goal
remains the same: quality & conviviality.
Our week-long programs typically offer four days of shooting with a leisure day in the middle, when we explore “the best of British” by visiting places of unique interest. A separate ladies’ program of sightseeing or shopping with a knowledgeable guide is always available for partners who do not wish to join their Guns in the field every day.
